How do I get a stall at the market?
Step 1: please send an email to riverclubmarket@gmail.com including:
Step 2: wait to hear from us...
*We will get back to you as soon as possible with a response (hopefully "Yes! Welcome aboard!"). If it's a 'yes', we'll send you a stallholder form to download and print out
- your full name and surname
- the name of your business
- a detailed description of your business/service/product
- your Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest and website page links (if you have them) - this helps us to spread the word about you and the market through links (we will include this info on our blog, website and Facebook page, so it's a good idea to have at least one of them for us to use)
- your contact numbers (cell and landline)
- your email address (if different from the one you are using to send us a mail)
- any photo's about your products/services (this will help us decide if your items are suitable for the Market, and so this is highly-recommended)
Step 2: wait to hear from us...
*We will get back to you as soon as possible with a response (hopefully "Yes! Welcome aboard!"). If it's a 'yes', we'll send you a stallholder form to download and print out
Step 3: when you receive the form from us, please read through carefully, fill it in, sign it and return it to us asap at riverclubmarket@gmail.com or fax 021 447 0681
Step 4: if we've confirmed that you can join the market, you'll need to make a prepayment to secure your space. We'll advise you of how and when to pay, and once the payment has been received, your stall is booked!
*Please note we deal with hundreds of queries, and every one of them is important. Once you've applied online and returned your completed stallholder form to us you will receive a personal response as soon as we are able to send one. We're working as hard as possible, thanks for your patience!
How much do stalls cost at the market?
Indoor stall costs (all year):
R350 for a 1.5x2m space (incl 1x1.8m long table)
R600 for a 1.5x4m space (incl 2x1.8m tables)
R600 for a 1.5x4m space (incl 2x1.8m tables)
(payable strictly in advance by due date)
A limited number of smaller spaces may be available on request (subject to availability)

Outdoor stall costs (from Sept-March only):
R200 for a 2.0x2.0m space
R250 for 3.0x3.0m space
*Extra R50 per meter from 3 meters
*Extra R50 per meter from 3 meters
Are tables available for me to hire?
All indoor stalls come with a 1.8m long table (2m space) and a 3.6m long table (4m space)
R25 extra per 2.4m table (to be booked and paid in advance along with stall fee)
Other sizes can be arranged, please speak to us about this.
What do I get for my stall fee?
- a stall including a table (except the 1x1.5m indoor spaces and the outdoor spaces) - and free parking
- a photo, blurb and link to your own website/page (if paid on time in advance)
- plenty of marketing and advertising (across a variety of mediums: newspaper and magazine print ads, email, social media, radio, events listings, posters, flyers, lamp-post posters)
- potential buyers estimated in the 1,000's
- you get to sell lots of your goodies, make new customers and friends, plus have a great day out!
Can I hand out advertising at the Market?
Stallholders can hand out suitable promotional material at the Market for no extra cost. Businesses/individuals who do not have a stall at the market but who wish to hand out promotional material to visitors may do so with the permission of the Organisers and for a fee (please request more info from us about this*)
